Born in 1987 in Zhangzhou, Fujian, graduated from the integrated design department of Shanghai Institute of Visual Art in 2012, a student of Mr. Ding Yi, Chen Furong is a young designer currently living and working in Shenzhen , Guangdong. Chen Furong, Founder of furniture brand WUU, dedicated himself to develop contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories, while continuing to participate in art and design projects.

Weaponized with solid professional background and acute artistic sense, Chen Furong’s works are always sharp with his ponderings and philosophy. Chen attaches great importance to the existential value of every design, aiming to create things that are timeless, with a respect of the materials’ true nature. Expressed through the designs, his poetics is honed with a fastidious professionalism, appears in his understatedly powerful works of art.
